In 2018, Mayor Bill De Blasio declared August 28th, 2021 Angela Yee Day. Every 8/28t the Radio Personality has commemorated that day as a celebration of her West Indian/Caribbean and Brooklyn roots. In which the Breakfast Club host throws a community event at Restoration Plaza – 1368 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, NY 11216.
The event included music, food, live performances, and networking opportunities. This year's lineup included Power 105.1FM DJ Noire, Soca Queen Allison Hinds, who had the crowd jumping! The walking trophy, Bronx native Hood Celebrityy and Motto.
Other acts include Naomi Cowan, Shaneil Muir, Noah Powa, Romain Virgo, Adrian Marcel, Erick the Architect, and Capella Grey among others. Sponsors included Chick-fil-A, Drink Fresh Juice, Miss Jessie’s and more.
Truly a great day and event celebrating New York’s own Angela Yee!
