Updated: Apr 2, 2023

Music Monday Artist Interview | Monday March 27th, 2023 | Fë Nelson

Mor.Bookings Agency held a Culture weekend held in NYC on Sunday, February 26. The showcase featured a Myriad of talented individuals who brought their own style and flare, leaving a mark on everyone who had the opportunity to hear them. One of those talented individuals was Peach Mulla.

We got the chance to connect with Peach, and this is what she had to say:

Fë: Congratulations, you recently performed at the Culture weekend with the Mor. bookings agency. They crowned you as one of the best performers of the night. Tell us about yourself. Where are you from?

Peach Mulla: I am originally from Morrisville, PA, but currently representing for Trenton, NJ.

Fë: What inspired your artist name?

Peach Mulla: My artist name has been with me since I was a child. “Peach” was inspired by a singing group my older sister and I started as kids. So it's more of a family nickname. The Mulla was added on later on.

Fë: Talk to us about your music. How would you describe the Peach Mulla sound?

Peach Mulla: My sound is unique and authentic. I have a bold gritty writing style that many people are not used to, in addition to a way with words many people don't have

Fë: As I listened to your song, " Drip On Me," what is the flex(tea) on that?

Peach Mulla: I wrote drip on me at a time when I was surrounded by many leeches. People who could not benefit me in any way but were always looking to see how I could benefit them. Everything I've been through and done has been on my own, and I've come a long way.

Fë: What is the hardest part about being an artist?

Peach Mulla: The hardest part about being an artist is gaining a consistent fan base. Getting people to take the time to listen to your new releases, attend a show support a venue—all the most challenging parts of the grind.

Fë: How do you stay motivated, especially as a female rapper in a game where many female artists are emerging?

Peach Mulla: I am very motivated. I write a lot of my music about my experiences, feelings, etc. my life supplies constant inspiration and motivation.

Fë: What stands out about your music compared to what's out right now?

Peach Mulla: My music stands out because it is very raw. I have a way of expressing myself that I haven't seen in many artists. Male or female.

Fë: Do you have any dream collaborations?

Peach Mulla: Dream collab? It would be with Eminem or Lil Wayne. These are tremendous inspirations of mine.

Fë: What's next for you?

Peach Mulla: Bigger goals, bigger, sold-out shows. My name on billboards. But consistent content.
